I found this painting in my draft posts; somehow I forgot to post it in 2019. The magnolias are just starting to show buds here in Philadelphia.

Magnolia No. 1

A huge magnolia branch came down in my neighbor's yard two nor'easters ago, but on the bright side, we've been really enjoying the gorgeous flowers indoors. This is my first time painting magnolias. Anyway, with our fourth nor'easter behind us here in Philadelphia, a Ramones song came to mind:

"Chewing out a rhythm on my bubble gum
The sun is out and I want some."
